How does one define “art”? Well, Florentijn Hofman apparently defines his, in part at least, as big and yellow and chubby. His “art exhibit” on the Loire River in France is described thusly:
“People have gathered and watch in amazement as a giant yellow Rubber Duck approaches. The spectators are greeted by the duck, which slowly nods its head. The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, isn’t prejudiced, has no agenda…and has healing properties: it can both define and relieve mondial tensions. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages!” [via Wooster Collective]
